as you know the 'next gen' consoles will be hitting the market in late fall just before the holidays. so I am curious are you planning on buying one (or both if you have the $$$) or the other and if so, which one? I personally am getting a PS4 I already have 100 bucks down on it and will have it paid off well before it comes out.

Two PS4s for this household! XBox-free and staying that way. My sons don't like it.

Am I the only one who still plays the original Xbox and PS2? I am something of a video museum. I've got just about all the consoles, and I hardly ever play. So, I'm not going to pursue the new hardware yet.

I'm betting dollars to donuts, this will be the most boring reply on this topic.

well I have always been a more casual gamer mostly I used my PS3 for was Blu Ray and Netflix and some gaming on the weekends. well my PS3 is dying (bad video card) and I figure I will use the PS4 for a blu ray and stuff like I do now and when the PS3 finally bucks the kicket I will get another one for the PS3 games.

Eventually I plan on getting both but Ill probably go with the XBOX ONE first simply because I have always liked the controllers way better on xbox then the playstation

oh I forgot to mention the hand held versions, I have owned:

PSP 1000 (aka first gen)
PSP 2000 (aka the slimmer one with a more vivid screen and extra featues not in the 1000 model, like being able to play games on a TV)
PS Vita (aka the current portable PS3)

of those and the other post above I still have:
