The 'introduce yourselves' thread

Hi everyone -- one of the users from the "other" BEA suggested we join this forum a while ago and we are finally getting around to it. Our account got banned over at the BEA by their always pleasant moderators, who finally got their wish and came up with a rule technicality with which they could use to give us a ban, so we haven't posted there in a while.

Hopefully this place is a little less draconian with moderators who aren't jerks lording their power over the users.

WELCOME!!! You have arrived home. Many of us were 'there' from the very beginning before most of the mods were and were also unceremoniously shown the door without provocation or warning.
