She's actually Ecuadorian. I once had an Ecuadorian girlfriend and she had the same exact 'ethnic' look to her. It's the ethnic make-up of the country: Spanish, Moor, Native American. And my ex was also a large double-D.
It's not unusual for Ecuadorians to name their offspring various English, Greek and Italian first names but they usually follow the Spanish tradition of last names - Father's last name then mother's last name. So Señora Martinez and Señora Segovia might have a daugher and name her Jillian and thus her full name would be Jillian Martinez-Segovia.
