htiml broken for me?

I noticed that my signature which is in ITALICS is no longer that way but the [i] and [/i] boxes are still there also the link to my avatar request thread is broken it has the words want a custom avatar and the link next to it instead of being able to click on the first text.  also when I got a PM I sent a reply with a hosted image and instead of the image I get the link for it and the IMG tags on both ends.  Any Ideas why, please let me know.

EDIT the sig link works but my signature text is still borked so to speak

I went to edit my sig and I see this at the lower right

Smilies are Off.
MyCode is On.
[img] tags are Off.
HTML is Off.

is that why and is there a way to fix it

what is strange is why does my link to my avatar request work but the sigs do not show up in italic if HTML is off?

You are only experiencing trouble with your signature?

signature and not just mine I see Bonecracker's is 'boned' so to speak and as I said when I sent a image to a user via PM it only shows the text with the IMG tags.  yeah only thing I see is that the text that I used to have in [i] tags do not work anymore.
