Me and Ms. Tug both tested positive for COVID-19. Really didn't know I had it since I have allergies this time of year every year anyway.
I went to have blood taken (every 6 months because of type 2 diabetes) and was very shocked when they said I came back positive. I felt like I had a mild Upper RI at worst.
Ms. Tug got tested the next day and had it and had even fewer symptoms than I did. It's been 3 weeks now since our diagnosis and she and I feel fine. She's fine and I just have a small residual occasional cough. I know this is affecting some folks a lot worse, but most have other underlying conditions. I think the media may be over sensationalizing this thing just a wee bit as I know of at least 6 other people that have had the same experience we've had.
I've been working from home for over 3 weeks now and I think Ms. Tug is ready for me to go the hell back to work! LOL!
Living in SE Louisiana means that we can't even travel to Florida (to visit Mom) or to visit any of the kids/grands as most states have banned anyone from Louisiana from crossing into their states.
Stay safe everyone and hope everyone comes out as well or better than we did and hopefully all of you folks come out the other end intact!

We've been home for about a month now. We're doing the best we can. Up until today I've been working remote, but our project has been put on hold. So I don't know what that means for my job. Honestly, I think that's the worst thing that's happened. We've been good on supplies, etc. Taking walks everyday and just rarely leaving the house. I think we're very fortunate for how it's played out so far.
Hey Tugboat, lemme ask you a question. I'm a type 1 diabetic, kinda like you, I guess. I keep hearing that diabetic folks are at risk. But you said it wasn't as bad for you, or others you know? I can't seem to get a good feel for how it's affecting the diabetic crowd.

I keep hearing that too. I'm a type 2, but my last A1C was 5.6 with minimal meds. I don't know anyone else that has type 2 or type 1 at the moment, so I can't say. My sister died the Day before her 21st birthday as a result of not taking care of herself with type 1, but that was also over 40 years ago too. A lot of things have changed and having type 1 is not as hard to control with modern science, I understand.
Hang in there and keep us all updated on your situation.

Our company didn't shut down either. We're considered critical infrastructure. We do have about 40% of our shoreside workforce still working remotely though. I've been working from home as much as possible as all of our systems are as easily accessed from home as they are from my Office. That's the great thing about virtualization, access is the same anywhere you are as long as you have an internet connection.
Of course Mrs. T was about to go freakin' nuts being couped up so the minute a few other states opened up their borders to residents of Louisiana, she made a beeline to the Kids/Grandkids houses...

I do my part in following their rules, even though doctors, scientists and WHO officials tell us that wearing masks is completely hit or miss, and that the vaccines may not do anything to halt the spread or cure anyone.
This is SUCH a mess. But much respect and props to anyone trying! Keep 4-6 feet apart, hygiene is EXTREMELY important.

Went and got my second vaccine. When the nurse asked me if I'm allergic to anything, I responded 'Justin Bieber'.
