Blast from the Past
#1
Mrs. Tug was cleaning out the closet in the guest bedroom and came across two boxes I had forgotten I had and upon closer inspection, saw that they still had the security tape on them that was put there by a moving company back in a 2001 when I moved due to a job change.

We opened the boxes and what I found was 2 boxes of Video Tapes.  Most of them were recorded movies and TV Shows, but 2 or 3 were not.  One of them, some of you will recognize:

I dug out a VCR I still have stored in the same closet and put the tape in.

Alas, it played but it's so full of noise and drop outs, it's not worth trying to transfer to DVD.

I just figured I'd share...

Wow!! Pro tip: set your oven to 145º and put that tape in there for 30 to 45 minutes. The oxide should come together and it should play 1-3 times like it was new again - giving you the opportunity to transfer it to a DVD
