I lost my best friend, my wife…
#1
A few know already, but the reason I’ve been absent for the last few months is that I lost Mrs. Tug to sepsis recently.

She had what was diagnosed as a simple kidney infection that was treated with antibiotics.  Two weeks later, she thought she was fully recovered from it.  She went up to our cabin where I was going to meet up with her a few days later when apparently she started to run a fever for a few hours and then woke up at 3am with a 104+ fever.  She called 911 and was at the emergency room 30 minutes later. About 20 minutes after she arrived, she was gone.

It has been devestating.

All 4 kids and their families are at a loss, as am I.

I’ll probably not be back for a while but I felt I owed a few good friends on here an explanation why I’ve been MIA and why I may not be around for the near future.

Thanks to the few that have known and supported me.

I sent you an email, Cappy. I am so deeply and profoundly hurting for you. Of course we have had some many private conversations and I was looking forward to meeting you both some day.

God bless and comfort you

Finally have my mind back in a good place and am seriously thinking about retiring at 62-1/2 this summer, selling the Louisiana house and moving to the mountain house. I have a lady friend that is independent and she lost her husband to Covid. We have great fun and it’s been a friend with benefits/no strings attached type relationship so far. Not sure she sees the mountain house as anything other than an occasional getaway. May be the dividing factor if I go up there full time. Don’t think she’s ready to leave Mandeville.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone and that I’m alive and well and miss my good friends here.

I’ll check back in a few weeks!

Hey man, great to see you're still around and getting along, in a good place! Definitely take care of yourself and don't be a stranger!

PM for you.

Got tired of the sucky service of the previous provider.

Been just over a year ago that I lost Mrs. Tug and I’m in Tennessee now full time at the Mountain House.

Glad to be out of Louisiana. Worst State I’ve ever lived in and most expensive and corrupt!

If you visit New Orleans you risk your life. Don’t risk it! Sold my share of my French Quarter apartment to my brother.

Moved up to TN full time about 3 weeks ago and closed on the sale of the Louisiana house Last Thursday. Now a proud resident of the State of TN.

Hope everyone is well.

Almost bought a house south Nashville 5 year ago. The deal fell through, not my doing.
Strongly considering moving back. Tennessee is a wonderful state.

God bless you, bro. Next time I'm in TN, I'll be in touch!

Even worse than Mississippi? Anyway, congrats on the move to TN. I went on a road trip to Nashville from Mid Florida about 5 years ago. The most boring part was getting through Georgia. But, as soon as I crossed over into Tennessee, the scenery was so much more beautiful. Loved driving through the mountains. Even downtown Nashville was pretty fun!
